The 2026 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell delivered two unforgettable weekends of music, culture, and cuisine, drawing an estimated 475,000 attendees to the Fair Grounds and reaffirming its place as one of the World’s Premier Cultural Festivals.
From legendary headliners like the Eagles, Stevie Nicks, and Rod Stewart to Louisiana favorites including Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, and Lainey Wilson, the festival showcased a dynamic mix of global icons and homegrown talent. More than 600 acts performed across 14 stages, representing a wide range of genres such as Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Blues, Rock, Cajun, Zydeco, and Brass Band Traditions.
Festivalgoers were also treated to one of Jazz Fest’s signature attractions—the food. With over 100 dishes available, the culinary offerings highlighted the depth and richness of Louisiana Cuisine, blending fine-dining quality with local authenticity. The festival’s arts and crafts areas featured handcrafted works from regional and international artisans, adding another layer to the immersive cultural experience.
This year’s festival also placed a spotlight on Jamaica through the Sandals Resorts Jamaica Cultural Exchange Pavilion, with performances from artists like Ziggy Marley, Stephen Marley, and Lutan Fyah, bringing an international flair to the celebration while honoring shared cultural roots.
Festival Producer Quint Davis reflected on the event’s legacy, emphasizing that Jazz Fest is more than a festival—it is a living expression of culture and community that continues to evolve while honoring its origins.
As the 2026 Festival comes to a close, organizers have already set their sights on next year. Jazz Fest 2027 is scheduled for April 22nd through May 2nd, promising another vibrant celebration of music, heritage, and the unmistakable Spirit of New Orleans.
