From dynamic panels to powerful networking, Washington, D.C. was the backdrop this past weekend for the 2025 Congressional Black Caucus Weekend, where African American leaders from across the nation gathered to shape policy, amplify community voices, and chart a path forward. Among the distinguished participants was Louisiana Congressman Troy A. Carter, recently elected as First Vice Chair of the CBC. The convening drew hundreds of elected officials, civic and business leaders, grassroots organizers, scholars, and media outlets, including Data News Weekly. All unite in the nation’s capital to highlight legislative priorities, cultural solidarity, and strategic partnerships. The weekend ultimately reflected both the gravity and the promise of Black leadership in action.
