NOLA Funk Fest is the coming out party for The Louisiana Music & Heritage Experience, a museum of grand scale dedicated to the preservation of Louisiana’s rich musical history This festival features programming that gives attendees a taste of what the museum will offer The festival featured a lineup of funk, soul, and New Orleans musical royalty The festival, founded and produced by Chris Beary, which seeks to create a Louisiana music and heritage experience, celebrating the state’s musical history from Congo Square to the present “We want to honor and respect our past, but we also want to honor and respect our current,” said Chris Beary, the festival’s founder and producer The Funk Fest The non-profit Parent Organization has received a 26 Million Dollar Grant for a Jazz Museum to be built adjacent to the Convention Center.
