The National Urban League held their annual conference in New Orleans. The multi-day event brought in leaders from across the country in support of the continuing struggle for equity and justice for all Americans. Under his leadership the organization’s CEO and former New Orleans Mayor Marc H. Morial, the focus was to enlist citizens to help to continue the work of this leading Civil Rights organization. Where it takes on increased importance, as Morial and many stated, “Democracy is on the ballot.”
