The Black Men of Labor Mission: To educate, preserve, and perpetuate our rich African & African American Culture by creating sustainable economic opportunities that break the cycle of generational poverty in New Orleans.

On October 25, 2024, they held their XXIX Noir Experience and Gala, Jazz Legacy Honors, and Jazz Concert at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel. During this amazing and memorable event, they honored Greg Stafford, Irma Thomas Jackson, Herlin Riley, Sharon Martin, Shannon Powell, Phillip Manuel, and James Rivers.

It was a great night honoring these legends of the City of New Orleans, and Data News Weekly was there!!!
