Run-Off Voting and Election Information

New Orleans residents are again headed to the polls to determine, who will occupy several elected posts. During the Primary Election, several races were decided that included Mayor LaToya Cantrell, getting re-elected as well as JP Morrell winning City Council-at-Large District 2. City Council members Helena Moreno and Joe Giarrusso easily won re-election.
While all elections are important, the direction of a changing of the City of New Orleans lies in the balance. So, in our role as The People’s Paper, Data News Weekly, continues to encourage all to get out and vote in early voting that takes place on November 27th through December 4, 2021. Election Day is December 11th.

This election cycle is chockfull of candidates competing to represent the citizens in several local, and statewide races. Among the many races voters will be selecting candidates for Criminal Sheriff In addition, there are races for City Council District Seats B, C, D, E, and Clerk of Criminal District Court.

In these times where some are trying to prevent citizens from voting, to eliminate this from occurring bring a photo identification, or signature on a voter affidavit. Also, masks are required in all polling locations along with COVID-19 social distancing protocols.
