On Friday, October 25th at the Jazz & Heritage Center, The Treme’ Fall Festival held their Patron Party. This is a party for public good as they raise funds to help maintain Treme’s culture gems. It was not just another party. This event was crucial to the Treme’ community. This event allows Friends of Treme’ Culture (FOTC) to give grants to the historic St. Augustine Catholic Church, the oldest African American Catholic Parish in the country. St. Augustine’s cross was recently toppled by Hurrican Ida. This event was to raise funds to support St. Augustine and many other nonprofits and culture bearing organizations that keep Treme’ culture alive. The event was well attended and successful and Data was there to give our support.
