NEW ORLEANS – The Inaugural Brews, Boils & Bubbles (BBB) Festival attracted thousands of seafood lovers to Lakeshore Drive this past Saturday, May 11rh, to enjoy delicious, boiled cuisine and beverage pairings from 20 participating restaurants and drink vendors, and all-day entertainment from top musical acts, including Partners-N-Crime, The Soul Rebels, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, DJ Raj Smoove, and more.

The festival honored several local small businesses for their exemplary dishes, with 504Seafood winning the first-ever “People’s Choice Award” for its boiled crawfish platter, which was voted on by attendees via QR code throughout the day. A panel of distinguished judges, including local chefs, food critics, influencers, and more, selected the winners of the official BBB Food Competitions, with “Best Crawfish” going to Mr. Shrimp’s Kitchen and the title of “Best Boil” awarded to The NOLA Chuck Wagon for its boiled ox tails.

“This first festival exceeded all of our expectations, paying homage to our rich culture, culinary traditions, and what it means to be from Louisiana,” said BBB Executive Producer Cleveland Spears, III. “From spotlighting some amazing local restaurants to showcasing the talent of homegrown musicians, the Inaugural BBB was a huge success. We’re grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us this past weekend and hope to see them all back on the Lakefront for the Seventh Edition of the National Fried Chicken Festival presented by Raising Cane’s on October 5th and 6th.”

In addition to the two luxurious VIP experiences, including the Brews & Bugs Lounge presented by Urban South and the Rosé & Lobster Lounge presented by Veuve Clicquot and Minuty, BBB featured several other sponsor activations on-site, such as the Corona Beach Bar with giant photo ops, sand, and music by DJ Poppa, the Don Julio Margarita Garden with lush greenery and delicious agave cocktails, the Louisiana Fish Fry Cajun Drip Bar with samples of its newest seasoned butter product, and the complimentary Blue Plate Mayonnaise Sauce Station with its brand new creamy cocktail sauce, creole tartar sauce, and hot & spicy mayo to level up all the boiled seafood.

The festival was made possible through the support of various partners, including Urban South, Veuve Clicquot, Minuty, Corona, Modelo, Coca-Cola, D’USSÉ, Grey Goose, Lakefront Management Authority, Louisiana Fish Fry Products, Blue Plate Mayonnaise, Where Y’at, Outfront, New Orleans Magazine, iHeartMedia, Inc., and more.
