Coffee and Conversation with the Chiefs

On January 2, 2023: Coffee and Conversation with the Chiefs was held by Pastor Jonathan Everett, Rock of Ages Baptist Church to provide a platform for the chiefs to have a moment of transparency as it relates to their daily responsibilities.

The sole purpose for the conversation was to answer some of the questions the community has relating to civic arrest, social disparities, and how we really enhance our current system for a better New Orleans and surrounding areas. “Our ultimate goal is to provide a clear perspective from the chief’s point of view and to provide long-term strategies for our communities,” says Pastor Everett.

The conversation helped educate and motivate citizens about effective policing practices, local government officials, police, sheriff departments, and encourage the community leaders to institute a collaborative model.

Participating Chiefs was Former Superintendent Shaun Ferguson, Superintendent Murphy Paul Jr., Chief Michelle Woodfork, Sheriff Joseph Lopinto III, Chief Dwayne Munch, Former Superintendent Warren Riley.
