LSU Women’s Basketball Team Headed to NCAA Final Four

Here they come, the Lady Tigers of LSU, led by Head Coach Kim Mulkey’s and All-American Angel Reese cruised to victory. LSU beating Miami, 54-42, to advance to the Final Four.

For the Lady Tigers, it’s their first Final Four since 2008. A NCAA powerhouse from, 2005-2008 they made five consecutive trips to the Final Four, losing in national semifinals each time.

This is a dream come true for Head Coach Kim Mulkey, who is a Louisiana native. She returned to the Boot shaped state in 2021 to coach the LSU Women’s Basketball Team. Prior to joining LSU, she coached at Baylor for 21 seasons. Where she racked up an impressive record going to four Final Fours and winning three national titles. In her years as a player, she was equally impressive, where at Louisiana Tech, she led the Lady Techsters to two national titles and four Final Fours.

She is bringing that wining spirit to the LSU Lady Tigers, assembling a team poised to win it all this year.
