ABCT has been at the forefront of producing quality stage productions. In addition, its founder Anthony Bean has for over five decades been committed to making an impact both on and off the stage. Throughout the month of August ABCT will bring to the stage, The Bodyguard: The Musical.
Based on the smash hit 1992 film, THE BODYGUARD follows former Secret Service Agent turned bodyguard Frank Farmer, hired to protect Superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don’t expect is to fall in love. A breathtakingly romantic thriller, THE BODYGUARD features a host of irresistible Whitney Houston classics, including “Queen of the Night,” “So Emotional,” “One Moment in Time,” “Saving All My Love,” “Run to You,” “I Have Nothing,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and one of the biggest selling songs of all time – “I’ll Always Love You.”
“It is great to bring this play to the stage, it is a story that all audiences regardless of your background can enjoy,” says Anthony Bean.
It stars the incomparable Assata Renay as Superstar Rachel Marron, the talented Jake Wynne-Wilson as Frank, THE BODYGUARD and the Vivacious Eliza Sonnenschein as Rachel’s sister, Nicki.
The finest New Orleans actors conclude with Rachel Marron’s son, Fletcher, played by Carter Williams and Dylan Henderson. The Head of Security, Tony, is played by Al Aubry. Rachel Marron’s Manager, Devaney, is played by Leonard Zanders. Justin Alexander plays the Stalker. Publicist Sy, played by Dedrick LaBee, and LouRian Jiles, play Douglas, the assistant. Jonas Chartock plays FBI Agent Court, and the Personal Stage Manager to Rachel Marron will be Michelle Briscoe-Long.
“I enjoyed working with this cast and crew, and we are going to give the people great shows every night. This is what ABCT has prided itself on producing quality entertainment for over two decades. And with this show, we are continuing this great tradition.
