The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presented a grant to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality at an event on Monday. EPA Regional Administrator Dr. Earthea Nance, U.S. Rep. Troy Carter (LA-2) and community leaders gave remarks about the grant, which will support an Air Monitoring Project in St. James Parish.
Funding for this grant comes from the Inflation Reduction Act, a historic piece of legislation under the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda.
