The Beginning of a New Era

What’s up folks? This is your people Fleur De Lis. Like all of us trying to assess some damage from IDA. We gonna rebuild, cause we built like that. Resiliency is in our DNA, and as I look around, I see the spirit of our people shining through. We got a way to go to recover, but I believe we got dat.

On another note, we got something to gloat about as our Boys in Black and Gold showed they are ready this season to be competitive on every level. It seems that we are seeing what the new era for the Saints could look like with Jamis Winston leading the offense.

In his debut as the heir to the throne of Drew Brees, he showed that he has the leadership ability and poise to lead the Saints potent offense. He did this by throwing for a career high five touchdowns in a 38-3 blowout win against Aaron Rogers and the Green Bay Packers.

This is no small feat against a team who for the last two years came up one game short of making it to the Superbowl.

The Saints did it on both sides of the ball and left the “Cheeseheads” devastated by a reinvigorated Saints team that is healthy and now have a quarterback who can throw the long ball. Then we still got the Swiss Army Knife, Taysom Hill on deck.

Although, this game did not happen in the Dome, Who Dat Fans, was on deck in front of television sets, handheld devices, and online. Wherever they were, it was a good pick me up for a city recovering from Hurricane IDA.

We as die-hard fans, can’t wait to see how this new era will unfold. But it looks like it’s going to be fun to watch as our boys in Black and Gold, make another run for the Superbowl.

Until next time its ya people Fleur De Lis, signing off, giving you everything 5-0-4.
