The 2024 New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University was a vibrant celebration of literature and culture, taking place from March 14th -16th. This third annual event featured a diverse lineup of over 150 acclaimed authors and thought leaders, engaging in more than 90 panels, book signings, and discussions. The festival included a culinary symposium, Family Day festivities, and a closing musical celebration.

Notable participants this year included Stacey Abrams, Michelle Miller Morial, Charles Blow, Eddie Glaude, Arthel Neville, Jesmyn Ward, and many others, for what was an intellectually stimulating experience.

The New Orleans Book Festival is housed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization within the structure of and in partnership with Tulane University. The mission of the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University is to support and nurture a literary community by connecting readers of all ages and backgrounds with local and national authors through experiences that celebrate the power of literacy and ideas.

In addition to the main festival activities, Family Day took place on March 16th, featuring children’s and family programming with 18 local and national authors. The day included book signings, a puppet musical, and a free book giveaway, aimed to ignite a love for reading in attendees of all ages.
