As we wind down to the final days before the election, as Publisher of the New Orleans Data News Weekly, I am writing to proudly endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States and Troy Carter for the U.S. Congress Louisiana 2nd Congressional District in the upcoming election on November 5, 2024.
President of the United States: Kamala Harris
Through her career in public service, Kamala Harris has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to working to make life better for all Americans. As President, she will not only be making history as the first Woman to hold the most powerful position in the world, she’s spoken of a platform that will have a positive impact on the lives of American across the nation.
Throughout this campaign, she’s demonstrated what a leader in a diverse nation would be like by building bridges across what is the wide political divide that our nation is presently experiencing. She’s shown that she has what it takes to not only save our Democracy but restore civility in our body politic. Something that her opponent lacks, where he thrives on chaos and division. This is not the recipe for governing and getting things done for the American people. It is time for the nation to have a leader who understands the power of people working together to “Keep America Great” and safe from someone who is a fascist, racist and wants to turn back the hands of time on the fights many have made to make this nation a better place for all of its citizens.
In this election, we must move forward and not backward. This is why Data News Weekly is endorsing Kamala Harris for the Office of President of the United States.
U.S. Congress Louisiana 2nd Congressional District
Congressman Troy Carter has held many offices at local, state, and now national levels. During this time, he’s continued to successfully bring back resources to his constituents. He has the experience and is equipped to navigate the complex issues we face and push for policies that prioritize the well-being of all the stakeholders in the district. Additionally, he can work with fellow Democrats and legislators across the aisle passing legislation that makes an impact.
Congressman Carter represents a balance of experience, new perspectives, and shared dedication to our community’s success. By re-electing him for these candidates, we are choosing a leader who is prepared to listen, act, and lead us toward a brighter future. I am confident that with his proven leadership, we will see impactful changes and a stronger, more connected community.
